• Initial Visit: Our services begin with an initial visit, during which we engage in an opening discussion to establish your requirements. Based on this discussion, we develop sketched design options that align with your aspirations, expanding on these with our design and building expertise. The aim is to arrive at an agreed proposal that forms the basis of early discussions with planners, neighbours, and builders.
• Further Services for Private Clients: After the initial visit, we discuss the next steps with you, selecting from our menu of further architectural services, and giving you an idea of the likely costs/hours involved. These will then be confirmed and sent to you in an itemised list of costed services for you to consider and choose from.
• Meetings: Throughout the project, you may need to discuss the progress of works, prices, the design development, or any other queries you may have with us. We are available for meetings either in person, over the telephone, or via email. We can also attend meetings with you, the local planning department, your contractor, or other consultants.
• Further Design Consultation: We can help you further develop your outline level design, investigate related issues regarding the design of your project and its detailing.
• Survey: To enable the preparation of accurate drawings of your proposals, it is necessary to have drawings of the existing building and/or site prepared. We can advise you on the most suitable approach for your project.
• Scheme Level Drawings: Based on your requirements, we prepare scheme level drawings that provide more detail about your project. These drawings form the basis for obtaining planning permission and serve as a guide for the building process.
• Planning Applications: We handle the submission of planning applications on your behalf, liaising with the local planning authority and addressing any issues that arise during the application process.
• Tendering and Contract Administration: We can assist you in obtaining competitive tenders from suitable contractors and in administering the building contract to ensure that the project is completed in accordance with the contract documents.
