Our journey began in 1976 when our founder, Mike Rickards, recognised the potential in refurbishing kitchen units rather than discarding them. Mike's vision was to create a business that offered an alternative to the traditional approach of replacing entire kitchens, which he believed was wasteful. By refurbishing existing units with new doors, worktops, and other components, he aimed to provide a more sustainable and cost-effective solution. This philosophy remains at the heart of our business today.

In the early years, Mike collaborated with a local firm to manufacture doors, panels, and worktops, and the business flourished. In time, his son Alistair joined the team, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge gained from studying carpentry at technical college.

Today, we proudly own a fully-equipped workshop complete with state-of-the-art machinery where we manufacture our doors, worktops, and other high-quality components. We offer an extensive range of services, from supplying doors, panels, worktops, taps, sinks, appliances, and other kitchen essentials to designing and installing bespoke kitchens tailored to your unique requirements.
