Building a stronger future, one concrete step at a time.
At Pickford Precast Concrete, we have over fifty years of experience in the precast concrete business. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has made us a trusted supplier to the construction industry. We take pride in our range of products, designed to meet the needs of our customers. From our factory and warehouse located in Chorley, Lancashire, we distribute to customers nationwide.
Our Products
Our product range is classified into three categories: Stone from Stock, Standard, Semi-Standard, and Purpose Made/Bespoke. We manufacture and supply a variety of products, including concrete elements for new construction projects, as well as replacing or repairing existing structures. Our products include but are not limited to window surrounds, quoins, corbels, ashlar blocks, vents, copings, and pier caps. We also offer concrete tee beam flooring and glass reinforced concrete building solutions.
Dry Cast Process
Our Dry Cast process is a semi-dry casting technique that enables the production of repetitive elements in large numbers and very quickly. The finished surface of our Dry Cast stone products tends to have an open texture similar to natural stone. This process is commonly used in the house building industry as a cost-effective alternative to natural stone. The "Dry Cast" method is a through-coloured process, using specially selected sands and aggregates mixed with cement, water proofer, and pigment where necessary to achieve the desired colour and finish. Dry Cast units are immediately demoulded after casting and are hand-finished to a very high standard.
Wet Cast Process
Our Wet Cast process is used to produce structural products like heads and cills. Slabs, beams, and other similar products can also be cast using this process. Wet Cast has the added advantage of specialist finishes with the use of special sand aggregates, allowing for a massive spectrum of colours and textures to be achieved. A range of different finishes is available, including lightly-etched or more heavily-etched exposed aggregate finishes. Additionally, Wet Cast products can be both an architectural decorative product and a load-bearing structural unit through the use of reinforcement bar and mesh.
