Prior to our visit, we kindly request that you:
- Ensure the flue we are working on has not been lit for at least 24 hours
- Empty the appliance of all ash, logs, fuel, etc.
- Clear the path from the entrance to the fireplace and access points
- Ensure there is sufficient space in front of the fireplace and any access points for us to work in

- Clear any decorative pieces around the fireplace
- Make sure a power socket is free and easily accessible for us to use
Pricing
Our services are competitively priced and include:
- Visual inspection of the installation
- Free smoke test
- Insurance-recognised chimney sweeping certificate
Please note that prices are estimates based on the time required to complete the job. Additional charges may apply for blockages, nests, or chimneys that require additional time or work due to not being swept regularly or difficult installations.
Nest Removal
Nest removal is a more involved process than simply sweeping a chimney. We remove the nest, which can be physically demanding if there is a lot of nesting material involved. After removing the nest, we sweep the chimney and then use CCTV to ensure all nesting material has been removed. If necessary, we will continue to remove the nest until all the material has been removed. This service takes approximately two hours and includes nest removal, chimney sweep, and CCTV inspection. If the nest removal takes longer, we will bill in half-hour increments of 35.
Carbon Monoxide Awareness
Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that has no smell or taste. Breathing it in can make you unwell, and it can kill. Some people believe that solid fuel does not produce carbon monoxide, but it does. Carbon monoxide is difficult to detect and can be present in solid fuels such as smokeless fuel and wood. Every year in the UK, over 200 people go to hospital with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, which leads to around 40 deaths. If you use fuel burning appliances, it is essential to take precautions to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
