Bruce Shaw Property Consultants Limited was established in 2002, based in Dalgety Bay, West Fife. Our Managing Director, Colin Bruce, has over 40 years of experience in both the Public and Private sectors. We have a diverse client base including developers, investors, solicitors, surveyors, contractors, industrial, commercial, and retail clients, as well as homeowners and residential factors.

Our services encompass all types of building inspections and defects analysis, advising on commercial lease issues such as dilapidations, assisting with building and asbestos-related health & safety matters, and reporting on construction defects and arranging for remedial works or building alterations and refurbishment works. We also act as expert witnesses, preparing reports and attending court if necessary.

We are committed to Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR), recognizing the importance of protecting the environment and encouraging sustainable practices. We strive to specify environmentally friendly products and systems, raise awareness of environmental issues, and ensure materials are recycled and sourced renewably.

People

Colin Bruce, our Managing Director, has a rich background in the industry, having worked with notable companies such as Bell Ingram, Glasgow College of Building and Printing, Property Services Agency (PSA), Burnett & Company/Capita Group, and Haley Somerset Consulting. He is also a prominent figure in the RICS Scottish Dilapidations Steering Group and a co-author of the RICS Dilapidations in Scotland Guidance Note Editions 1 & 2.
