Business Details
We established The Joiners Shop in 1983, bringing over four decades of specialist joinery expertise to clients across the UK. Our initial focus was on faithfully reproduced box sash windows, a product that quickly built our reputation for period-accurate, high-standard carpentry and joinery. We specialise in crafting handmade kitchens, bespoke orangeries and conservatories, solid doors and period windows that meet the exacting requirements of heritage and period property owners. Our hands-on approach means every project is overseen directly by our experienced team, with no outsourcing of core joinery work to third parties. We liaise directly with every client from the initial consultation through to final project completion, ensuring clear communication at every stage. We exclusively use high-quality, durable materials for all our products, with close attention paid to authentic period details for heritage projects.
Our skilled craftsmen bring decades of specialist trade experience to every commission, ensuring flawless finish and long-lasting performance. We have delivered projects ranging from joinery work on the oldest house in Wiltshire to a full lighthouse conversion in Aberdeen featuring triple-glazed box sash windows. Our commitment to personal service means we never treat any project as a standard, off-the-shelf solution, tailoring every detail to individual client needs. We have built a loyal client base over our 40+ years of operation, with our workshop regularly booked months in advance due to consistent demand for our work. We take pride in being a family-run business that prioritises honest, transparent service and exceptional workmanship above all else. Our long-standing reputation is built on delivering joinery that is both aesthetically correct for its setting and built to last for generations.
