We established our craft in 1979 after completing rigorous training at Parnham College. Over 45 years, we have designed and crafted bespoke furniture for individual clients, refining our expertise through collaborations with renowned designers like Wales & Wales and Illingworth & Partridge. As senior craftsman at John Makepeace Workshops from 1990 to 2001, we pioneered innovative techniques while contributing to diverse, high-profile projects. Our work has earned Guild Mark awards from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, recognising excellence in pieces like the Somerset Chair and contemporary longcase clocks. Today, we focus on teaching, sharing our decades of experience through weekly classes in Somerset and short courses at West Dean College.
We also instruct internationally at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine, USA. Our workshops empower students to create precision-crafted furniture, from dovetailed boxes to curved prototypes, under our expert guidance.
