Our Story

Blue Wave Construction was established in 2011 by company directors John Swanston and Steve Davey, who brought together over 50 years of experience in various construction sectors. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, our directors share a passion for delivering exceptional building services that meet and exceed client expectations.

Our Directors

John Swanston started his career as an apprentice carpenter and joiner, working his way up the ranks to become a contracts manager. He has extensive experience in various construction sectors, including housing for both private and social markets, refurbishments, new school buildings, healthcare, and retail buildings, among others. John has won several prestigious awards, including the special commendation award at the Chartered Institute of Builders and the Build Manager of the South West Awards in 2006.

Steve Davey has worked locally for over 25 years on various prestigious projects, building relationships with clients, including IMP, Wellington School, Wellington House Nursing Home, Chelston Park Nursing Home, and numerous private clients. His local knowledge and expertise have earned him a reputation for delivering high-quality workmanship.
