At North East Granite, we have been delivering high-quality memorials and architectural stonework for over six generations. Our family-run business, based in the North East of England, is dedicated to providing you with a range of products and services that cater to your needs.

We have a strong history, dating back to 1896 when our family first started as headstone and stonemasons in Chester le Street, County Durham. Over the years, we have expanded our operations to include shops in Durham City, Houghton-le-Spring, Middlesbrough, and Spennymoor. In 1964, we acquired a new factory site in Langley Moor, Durham, which has allowed us to grow and develop our product range and services. Today, we operate from a three-acre factory and distribution centre, offering a wide range of memorials and architectural stonework.

Our company is built on the principles of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. We take pride in the fact that over a third of our headstones and products are produced from granite, stone, and marble slabs in our factory, demonstrating our commitment to 'Made in Britain'.

Our services include the design, manufacture, and installation of memorials, as well as architectural stonework. Our team of skilled craftsmen and masons are trained to the highest national industry standards, as set down by the National Association of Monumental Masons and the British Register of Accredited Monumental Masons.

We are constantly looking for ways to innovate and expand our product range, including memorials, sculptures, and street furniture. Our architectural services cater to both public spaces and domestic environments, ensuring that we can meet the needs of a diverse range of clients.

With a sixth generation of family members now guiding the company, we are excited to continue our journey and look forward to the next 117 years. We remain dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services that meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
