Contrafence Ltd is a reliable and dedicated fencing contracting company, based in the Black Isle, covering the Inverness and Highlands area. Established in 2015 by its owner and operator, Craig McIntosh, we have built a strong reputation for our commitment to quality, punctuality, and the health and safety of our workforce and the public. We continually update and upgrade our certificates, ensuring our team is always certified in areas such as CSCS, ROLO, and Emergency First Aid at Work. We hold a comprehensive insurance policy with NFU Mutual, which we can provide upon request.

Typically working in a team of three, we adapt our workforce according to the workload and time of year.

Stock Fencing: We specialize in providing the most durable materials on the market, often using James Jones Sawmill products which offer a 15-year guarantee on their timber products. We also install fences using the 25-year guaranteed Octopost on customer request, with high tensile Tornado wire for added security.

Timber Fencing: With timber fencing being one of our specialties, we can install various styles to suit your needs. Whether you're looking for privacy, security, or aesthetics, we have a solution for any fencing problem. We use superior kiln dried pressure treated timber that complies with the British standard.

Security Fencing: We can offer various fencing solutions to keep your property or business premises safe. From chainlink to palisade, we can find the product most suitable for your needs.

Project Samples

We have worked on a variety of projects, from large-scale agricultural contracts to residential projects and everything in between. Here are a few highlights from our portfolio:

5KM Agricultural Fencing Contract: This local contract involved rearranging and compartmentalizing the fields to provide fresh feeding for the cattle to move onto regularly. The fencing consisted of Octopost strainers, first-class 3x3 posts, and high tensile, heavy gauge Tornado wire along with Titan barbed wire.

780 Meters of 6FT Timber Fencing: This contract involved timber fencing to enclose a conifer woodland. Despite the challenging ground conditions, the wildlife and picturesque views made this site a joy to work on. The fence was built to keep prey out and keep the animals in.

Residential Contracts: Residential contracts make up a large part of our workload, whether it's a repair or replacement. We also build gates, sheds, and decking to enhance your property.
