Our team comprises experienced professionals with a range of qualifications and certifications. Our staff are trained to work to BS3998 Standards for Tree Work and TC2020. We are proud of our diverse team, which includes:

• Logan, our owner and arboriculturist with a charismatic approach to providing advice and recommendations.
• Dan, our owner and groundsman who oversees the logistical and managerial aspects of our operations.
• Norton, our lead climber who has a strong background in arboriculture.
• Harrison, our senior apprentice who is completing his official apprenticeship.

Our Approach to Tree Surgery

As professional arborists, we approach tree surgery with care and consideration. Our pruning operations take into account the health of the tree and the desired outcomes, aiming to find a solution that is aesthetically pleasing, beneficial to the tree, and safe for years to come.

Reductions

We understand that tree reductions are necessary to maintain tree health and enhance their appearance. However, we prefer to recommend a 30% reduction in size, conforming to British Standards BS 3998:2010 recommendations for tree works. We work closely with our customers to determine the best approach, ensuring that the final result is healthy, balanced, and visually appealing.

Crown Lifting

Removal of a tree's lowest limbs and drooping branches can create a clear space underneath the tree, increasing natural light and enhancing the surrounding area.

Crown Thinning and Dead-Wooding

Thinning the crown of a tree can improve its appearance, creating airy, open silhouettes that enhance the overall aesthetic. This process is particularly effective with fruit trees but can benefit plants of almost any size and species.

Dead-Wooding

Dead branches in trees do not necessarily indicate poor tree health. However, if these branches are over a walkway or a delicate conservatory roof, it may be prudent to remove them for safety and aesthetic reasons.
