Our Story

Andrew Hart, our founder, was inspired by his father, a coachbuilder and skilled woodworker, who helped build ash-framed vehicles. Andrew's fascination with metalwork and woodwork at school further strengthened his interest in furniture design and making. He went on to study Art & Design at Hereford College of Art and furniture making at Hereford College of Technology. Andrew's diverse experience includes working for a London furniture design company and a Herefordshire kitchen manufacturer, giving him a comprehensive understanding of design, making, and installation.

Our Services

At Harts Woodworking, we offer a complete service from design through to installation. Our process begins with a detailed understanding of your requirements, followed by hand-drawn designs, 3D elevations, and floor plans. Upon approval of the designs, we create your furniture to the highest standard and install it professionally and quickly.

The Design Process

Our commitment to bespoke furniture design starts with a thorough understanding of your needs. We encourage you to browse through magazines on home interiors and share your ideas with us. Once we have a thorough understanding of your requirements, we prepare a detailed design drawing and submit it to you with a quote. This initial drawing is the starting point for a collaborative process that involves regular revisions and refinements until you are satisfied with the final design and cost.

Manufacturing Your Furniture

We take pride in using only the finest materials to create your furniture. You are welcome to visit our workshop to see the craftsmanship firsthand. Our exceptional quality is evident in the attention to detail, such as:

• Hardwood drawer boxes made using dovetail joints mounted on soft-close, full extension German runners
