Welcome to Kirkman Architects, a reputable and established architectural firm based in Altrincham, Cheshire. Our dynamic five-strong team is composed of two fully qualified interior designers and two fully qualified architects, all of whom are dedicated to delivering exceptional projects ranging from 200,000 to 6m plus. We take great pride in our ability to provide a comprehensive 'full design' service, tailored to meet the unique needs of each project, be it new build, new fit-out, or full/partial refurbishment.

Our Team

David Kirkman, the founder of Kirkman Architects, graduated from the Liverpool University School of Architecture in 1987 and completed his professional qualification in 1988. David's wealth of experience spans over 30 years, during which he has gained extensive knowledge in various sectors, including motorway services, nightclubs, health and fitness, ten pin bowling, hotels, pubs/restaurants and cafe bars, doctors and dental surgeries, and retail food processing. This diverse experience has equipped David with the skills and expertise to establish Kirkman Architects in March 2000.

Our Services

At Kirkman Architects, we offer a wide range of services, from survey and initial site layouts to sketch designs, working drawings, and contract administration. We also handle applications and obtain consents from Local Authorities for Planning/Listed Building Consent/Building Regulations, licensing, and other necessary approvals. Our services extend to branding and graphic design, providing clients with corporate identity and graphic design to complement a project or scheme.

Retail

Our experience in the retail sector ranges from initial brand development and design for start-up sandwich outlets to fast food chain refurbishments. We have previously undertaken projects for Marks & Spencer and supermarkets, adding to our extensive experience in this sector.

Leisure

At Kirkman Architects, we have considerable experience in the design, branding, new build, and refurbishment of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, pool rooms, ten pin bowling, hotels, and health & fitness. Our projects have varied from 200,000 to 3m.

Commercial

Drawing on our experience in bakery and factory environments, Kirkman recently completed a large project for a 1m food processing plant in Manchester. Our expertise in this sector enables us to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
