Consumer Unit Upgrade
We recommend upgrading your consumer unit every 10 years or so, as updates and revisions to regulatory standards are regularly made. If you haven't had a check on your installation within this timeframe, it would be a good idea to have an EICR booked to see how standards may have progressed.
EICR Certificates
Our experienced team is equipped to perform an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) to inspect the condition of your existing electrical installation. This report will identify any deviations from the current BS:7671 Wiring Regulations standard for electrical installations. The outcome will either be Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory, and if the latter, we will advise you on the options available to bring the installation up to standard.
Fault Finding
We are experts in troubleshooting electrical installations when problems arise. We will thoroughly investigate the issue, whether it's lights tripping or no power at some sockets. Once the cause is identified, we will consult with you and inform you on the best plan of action to replace any defective equipment or cables.
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)
We advise all landlords leaving portable appliances in properties or companies with staffed offices to get their portable appliances PAT tested at least yearly. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 requires that electrical equipment with the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe working order. We will thoroughly check each item to ensure it is safe for continued use and provide a detailed certificate listing all items signed off as safe.
Rewire and Partial Rewire
Bad electrics can be a serious fire hazard and can lead to injury or electrocution. If you are buying a property which is more than 10 years old, we would recommend an EICR to see if the wiring and fixtures have been maintained properly during this time. Alternatively, if you are starting from fresh, we offer rewire and partial rewire services to ensure your property has been wired exactly to your requirements.
Power & Lighting
Whether you want to convert old halogen downlights to energy-efficient LED downlights, add a new feature light above the dining room table, or install multiple sockets for a new study or office, we can do it.
