Your Trusted Timber Supplier in Suffolk
Nelson Potter began operations in the mid-1960s when Nelson established his trade with the Forestry Commission. After years of experience, he transitioned to independent timber contracting, introducing a mobile sawmill to produce posts and rails. The business relocated to Bromeswell, where the sawmill expanded with advanced milling lines and pressure treatment plants. Incorporated as Nelson Potter Ltd in 1986, the company became a leading supplier of fencing products to trade outlets.A retail yard opened in Dodnash in 1992, followed by a second site adjacent to the Bromeswell sawmill. Today, the family-owned business maintains a commitment to quality, offering a comprehensive range of timber, fencing, and garden products at competitive prices. With decades of industry expertise, Nelson Potter serves both trade and retail customers across Suffolk and East Anglia, prioritising reliability and customer satisfaction.
