Quantity Surveying
As chartered quantity surveyors, McNaughts has a proven track record of successful project delivery. Our team of chartered surveyors provides high-quality construction cost planning, management, and reporting, which are vital to the success of every building project.
Our quantity surveying services include:
- Project Feasibility: At the commencement of a project, McNaughts will advise clients on constraints which may have financial considerations. We will actively assist our clients to address these issues which will assist the assessment of project viability and increase the accuracy of cost planning.
- Cost Planning & Benchmarking: We work closely with you and your consultants to provide accurate cost plans in line with RICS guidance, utilising industry and in-house data sources. Our cost plans can be used to benchmark projects in 'value for money' appraisals and for District Valuer review relevant to section 106 or affordable housing contributions.
- Value Engineering: Throughout a project, we will assess how savings can be made by reviewing specification levels, assessing alternative methods of construction and reviewing design proposals. By engaging the entire project team we endeavour to identify savings to the benefit of project budget.
- Procurement: Providing you with advice to select the right procurement route and form of contract to meet your objectives. We provide management of the tender period including programming, preparation and issue of tender documentation to potential contractors, followed by reviewing and reporting upon the tenders received. We will also prepare the relevant contract documentation.
- Bills of Quantities & Tender Specifications: McNaughts can provide comprehensive and detailed Bills of Quantities and Tender Specifications to ensure accurate and competitive tendering.
Project Management
We provide Employer's Agent and Project Manager contract administration services both independently and in conjunction with our Quantity Surveying roles. McNaughts provides management solutions for complex building projects working in different sectors of the industry.
