Business Details
We are Andrews Tree Care, a professional tree surgery practice serving the historic market town of Stroud, its five Valleys, and the rolling Cotswolds of Gloucestershire. Our business was founded from a genuine passion for the great outdoors, horticulture, and rock climbing, which has shaped our unique approach to arboriculture. With over 15 years of experience in the arboreal industry, we have worked extensively around Stroud and the Cotswolds, alongside five years spent managing complex technical projects in London. Our team draws on a deep well of expertise, including qualifications as an Industrial Rope-Access professional, which we apply to challenging urban, suburban, and commercial environments. We are fully NTCP trained and certified, ensuring that every job meets the highest professional standards. Our work is always carried out in accordance with UK BS3998 (2010) standards, guaranteeing quality and safety for our clients.
We hold comprehensive Public and Employers' Liability Insurance, providing complete peace of mind for every project we undertake. Our problem-solving capabilities are enhanced by our background in recreational climbing, which has taken us to spectacular locations worldwide, including scaling Yosemite's Half Dome. This experience allows us to approach tree work with a practiced understanding of established techniques for safe and controlled dismantling. We offer a flexible service, able to deploy a team of highly trained arborists for jobs of all sizes, from large-scale crane work to individual shrub pruning. We are always happy to provide free advice and no-obligation quotes, helping our clients consider their options with clarity and confidence. Our commitment is to deliver a considered, high-standard service that leaves every tree well-shaped and every client fully satisfied.

Services
Tree Felling and Dismantling
We provide expert tree felling and dismantling services using ropes, spikes, and pulley blocks for controlled removal. Straight felling is available for locations with ample safe ground, though piece-by-piece dismantling is our standard approach for domestic settings. This ensures safety and precision, even in confined spaces, for clients across Stroud and the Cotswolds.
Tree Reductions
Our crown reductions are individually tailored to each tree's shape, size, condition, and species for a considered outcome. We carefully lower all sections in a controlled manner, strictly following the guidelines of British Standard BS3998 (2010). Crown lifting is also offered to remove lower branches for enhanced public safety and visual aesthetics.
Pruning
We perform selective pruning to facilitate plant health, redirect growth, or enhance productivity by removing specific branches or roots. Our service targets diseased, damaged, dead, or non-productive plant structures to improve overall vitality. We apply specialized techniques appropriate for both herbaceous and perennial woody plants to ensure optimal results.
