The company was established in 1982 in central London, carrying out projects in various sectors including Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs, the Leisure Industry, Boardrooms, and the Residential market. In 1996, the company moved to the country and continued working throughout the UK and abroad. Jane Dodson is the main owner/director of KSD, bringing a unique blend of classical restoration work and commercial experience from her time in the advertising industry. This diverse background has equipped her with substantial knowledge to approach interior design with a deep understanding of aesthetics and functionality.

Jane believes in offering a totally bespoke service to each client, tailoring projects to meet individual needs, lifestyles, and modus operandi. This philosophy has led to long-term relationships with clients, many of whom return for subsequent projects. KSD Design Company prides itself on being able to understand client requirements quickly and interpret them into the finished design. They source and acquire most items for residential or commercial projects, taking on the challenge of achieving the required end result. Services range from paint colour consultancy to advice on window treatments, comprehensive curtain and blind services, and even upholstery services. They also provide home/project visits to discuss requirements and take a complete brief, followed by a formal proposal outlining the approach and costing for the work.
