Linear Insulation Ltd. was founded in 2006 with the goal of providing a safe, green, cost-effective, and extremely efficient service to all of our clients and staff. At present, we employ over 80 staff, working from our Nottingham and Bristol offices, along with our national coverage of H&V projects. Through training, we continue to have an improvement ethic, always striving to improve our quality of service and to provide the most cost-effective solution for our clients. Our client base includes several Blue Chip companies, which include Shepherd Engineering Services, BAM, and Balfour Beatty. On-going and past projects cover the whole of the UK, Channel Islands, and Europe.

Here at Linear Insulation, we are dedicated specialist contractors in the field of thermal insulation relative to the Commercial & Industrial environment. Over the last few years, our products have started to be looked at in a different light, global warming has alerted the world to the need to increase energy efficiency and help to save power through more intelligent means. Energy Loss Surveys are a simple way of quantifying the savings that could be made through the correct installation of thermal insulation to your pipe work and associated parts. Along with energy savings, the surveys will also highlight the following: preventative maintenance issues, improvements to existing installations, benefits/savings through replacing aged insulation.

Bespoke Thermal Insulation Products

We take great pride in producing our bespoke thermal insulation jackets in-house, using products that comply with the current British & European standards. All products are produced under ISO9001 ensuring quality control and traceability of materials throughout the manufacturing process. These products, along with thermal imaging surveys, go a long way to ensuring you have an energy-efficient environment.

Electric Heat Tracing

Electric heat tracing, heat tape, or surface heating, is a system used to maintain or raise the temperature of pipes and vessels. Trace heating takes the form of an electrical heating element run in physical contact along the length of a pipe. The pipe must then be covered with thermal insulation to retain heat losses from the pipe. Heat generated by the element then maintains the temperature of the pipe. Trace heating may also be used to protect pipes from freezing, to maintain a constant flow temperature in hot water systems, or to maintain process temperatures for piping that must transport substances that solidify at ambient temperatures.

Specialist Technicians - All staff are trained to the highest standard including CSCS, PASMA, SSSTS, SMSTS & IOSH. We also have numerous personnel trained to install trace-heating products.
