Services
Chimney Sweeping
Our chimney sweeping service uses advanced power sweeping technology and dust containment systems to ensure thorough cleaning. We cover fireplace openings and surrounding areas with poly-backed sheets while employing specialist vacuum equipment. This method guarantees clean, efficient removal of soot and debris from domestic and commercial flues.
CCTV Inspection
We conduct detailed CCTV inspections to assess chimney condition and identify blockages or damage. This non-invasive technique allows precise diagnosis of issues like tar buildup or structural problems. The inspection helps determine appropriate treatment while minimising unnecessary interventions, ensuring cost-effective solutions for homeowners.
Tar Treatment
Our tar treatment service addresses dangerous creosote buildup using Cre-Away Pro chemical treatment. The process involves professional assessment, mechanical removal, and chemical application to modify glaze deposits. This four-component solution neutralises acidity, absorbs moisture, and reduces fire risk while breaking down stubborn residues during normal fireplace use.
Bird Nest Removal
We safely remove bird nests and debris from chimneys using specialist equipment. The service includes comprehensive sweeping and CCTV verification to ensure complete clearance. Our approach prevents blockages that could cause carbon monoxide buildup or chimney fires while maintaining structural integrity during the removal process.
Cowl Installation
Our cowl and cap installation service prevents debris and animal entry while maintaining proper draft. We fit weatherproof caps that reduce downdraughts and prevent water ingress. The installation ensures ongoing chimney functionality while protecting against blockages, combining practicality with aesthetic considerations for different property types.

Questions
What causes tar buildup in chimneys?
Tar forms when burning wood at low temperatures. Volatile compounds condense in cool chimneys, creating flammable deposits that require professional treatment to remove safely.
How often should chimneys be swept?
Annual sweeping is recommended for regular users. Open fires require more frequent maintenance. Our sweeps issue certificates confirming compliance with safety standards after each service.
Do you service commercial properties?
Yes, we handle domestic and commercial flue requirements. Our equipment and methods adapt to different chimney sizes and usage patterns across various business types.
What areas do you cover?
We operate within a 20-mile radius of Petersfield, covering Hampshire, West Sussex, and Surrey. Contact us for specific location verification and service availability.
How do you handle severe tar blockages?
Severe cases use mechanical removal followed by Cre-Away Pro treatment. We heat flues and apply chemical treatments to break down deposits, requiring follow-up sweeping after two weeks of regular fireplace use.
Are your services insured?
All our chimney sweeps carry insurance and provide official sweep certificates. We maintain professional standards through Institute of Chimney Sweeps membership and regular equipment maintenance.
