jbA Architecture is a distinguished architectural practice located in Chichester, West Sussex. Established in 1999 by RIBA Chartered Architect, John Brown, the practice has built a reputation for delivering high-quality design services, from initial concept ideas and planning advice to building regulation packages and site supervision services.

At jbA, we specialise in bespoke residential properties, including new build homes, refurbishments, extensions, and agricultural barn conversions. Our team has worked on numerous residential projects throughout West Sussex and the South Downs National Park, particularly in and around Chichester, Bosham, Itchenor, West & East Wittering, Selsey, and South Mundham. Planning

jbA has extensive experience obtaining planning permission for a diverse range of residential and commercial projects. Building Regulations

Once planning permission has been obtained, most projects will require Building Regulation approval before work can be carried out. At jbA, we offer technical advice and guidance on meeting Building Regulation requirements. Our team works closely with clients to ensure that their projects comply with the necessary regulations.

Site Supervision

jbA offers to supervise building work on-site, helping to ensure that projects are built on time, to budget, and to the highest standard. Our site supervision services help ensure that projects are completed to an excellent standard and that any issues that arise during construction are promptly addressed.

3D Printing

jbA is a pioneer in the use of 3D printing throughout the design process. Our cutting-edge 3D printing technology enables us to create detailed 3D printed models made from PLA plastic. At jbA, we use 3D visualisations throughout the design process. • John Brown, Managing Director - Architect: John is a highly experienced RIBA Chartered Architect who has been in practice for over 25 years. His extensive work spans residential new builds, extensions, refurbishments, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, and agricultural diversification projects.
• Nat Ellis, Director - Head of 3D Visualisation: Nat specialises in photorealistic 3D rendering and oversees the 3D Visualisation at jbA. He has over 25 years of experience working in the industry and has been a guest speaker at SketchUp 3D Basecamps in Canada, the USA, Japan, and Europe.
• Cara Davies, Director - Architect: Cara manages projects from initial concept design through to on-site contract management. She has experience in high-quality residential design and manages projects ranging from historic properties requiring a sensitive design approach to innovative new build constructions.
• Joe Pretorius, Architectural Designer: Joe joined jbA in 2014 and has since established himself as a key member of the jbA team. He has a keen eye for detail and manages projects from initial concept design to practical completion. Joe is a competent 3D visualiser and highly organised contract administrator.
