Grant & McPherson Construction Ltd was established in 1986 by partners James Grant and Hamish McPherson. Originally named Joinery Services until 2007, the company has built a reputation for excellence through extensive experience in all sectors of the construction industry. With a focus on building and construction services, the company has worked on a variety of projects ranging from home extensions and new houses to loft conversions and refurbishments.

Our Founders

James Grant and Hamish McPherson have been working together as joiners for many years. With a shared passion for joinery and carpentry, they started their apprenticeships in 1976 and 1980, respectively. After working together locally and in London, they decided to start their own business in 1986. Originally working as subcontractors to large construction companies, they soon realised that their passion lay in the private side of the business.

Today, Grant and McPherson remain the longest active joinery partnership in Moray, with a workforce that has served their apprenticeships with the company and a long list of satisfied clients.
