We Make Houses Into Homes
Keighley Furniture Project was established as a charity in 1979 with the mission to help people on low incomes and those in need of household items. Over the years, we have been collecting donations of furniture and household items, which we then reuse and recycle to aid our environment and provide a solution that benefits all. Our efforts have earned us the West Yorkshire Environmental Business Award in 2005, and we continue to strive to be of service to our community, reducing our impact on the environment.
Our premises, located in the historic Springfield Mill, Oakworth Road, Keighley, enable us to accommodate large items and work with the council to achieve their recycling targets. We collect donated household items in Keighley, Skipton, and surrounding areas, passing them on to people who are struggling to furnish their homes. We are particularly interested in cookers, washing machines, and fridges, as we supply white goods to re-use for people needing a little help.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services, including:
Furniture
We offer a wide range of furniture for all rooms in your home, including electrical goods and white goods. Our collection of furniture changes daily and is dependent on donations. We endeavour to work fairly, and our policy does not allow customers to save or reserve items that have not been paid for in full at the time.
Storage Bays
The Furniture Project has created storage bays in our converted attic area, ready for private and voluntary organisations.
Donations
We welcome any donations of furniture, electricals, and white goods and offer collections to our surrounding area.
Eligibility
We are committed to helping people on benefits, low incomes, and those in need of household items. Our premises enable us to accommodate large items and work with the council to achieve their recycling targets.
