Meet the Team

Our team of experienced architects and conservators is dedicated to providing exceptional service and expertise. With a combined total of over 50 years of experience in the field, our team is well-equipped to handle projects of varying complexity.

• Andrea Burton: Director, Andrea is our lead architect with a particular interest in barn conversions, bespoke housing, and church repairs. She has a strong expertise in conservation and holds a SPAB Conservation and Repair qualification.
• Alan Simcox: Director, Alan has extensive experience in spatial planning and the art of making new uses out of old buildings. He is a Conservation Accredited Architect and has special interests in church repairs and extensions.
• John Middleton: Associate Director, John has over 20 years of experience working with historic buildings, with a strong focus on conservation and church design. He is accredited and approved inspecting architect in several dioceses.
• Nick Joyce: Practice Consultant, Nick founded the practice in 1989 and has built a reputation for working on historic buildings, including timber frame structures. He is a member of numerous societies, including EASA and SPAB.
