Services
Chimney Sweep
Professional chimney sweeping services using modern techniques to remove soot and debris. Regular maintenance prevents dangerous build-ups and ensures efficient operation of heating systems. Our sweeps identify potential issues during routine visits, providing homeowners with essential maintenance advice to maintain optimal chimney performance.
Birds Nest Removal
Specialised removal of bird nests from chimney flues using appropriate tools and techniques. We address complete nest structures while ensuring compliance with wildlife protection regulations. The process includes thorough debris removal and smoke draw testing to verify complete clearance and restore proper chimney function.
Bird Guards
Installation of bird deterrent systems including chimney pots, cages, and caps. These prevent future nesting while maintaining proper ventilation. We offer solutions compatible with various fuel types, ensuring long-term protection against blockages caused by bird activity and debris accumulation.
CCTV Chimney Surveys
Advanced CCTV inspections for accurate diagnosis of chimney issues. This non-invasive method identifies structural problems, blockages, and performance issues without requiring physical modifications to property structures. The survey provides visual evidence to support recommended maintenance or repair actions.

Questions
How often should chimneys be swept?
Frequency depends on fuel type: house coal twice yearly, smokeless coal annually, wood burning up to four times yearly, with annual checks for oil, gas, and bio fuels.
What signs indicate bird nesting in chimneys?
Twigs in fire grates, visible bird activity at chimney pots, and sudden silence in normally noisy chimneys suggest nesting activity requiring professional intervention.
Can I remove bird nests myself?
DIY removal risks chimney fires and property damage. Professional removal is recommended, especially after March when legal protections apply to active nests.
Do you service gas and oil chimneys?
Yes, we provide maintenance and inspections for all chimney types including those serving gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with appropriate safety checks.
What areas do you cover?
Based in Whaley Bridge, we serve Buxton, Marple, Disley, Macclesfield, Hazel Grove, Bramhall, Poynton, and Glossop with comprehensive chimney maintenance solutions.
