Our Story

Our journey began in 2002, when our director, Steven Ross-Girard, left his career as a pub manager to pursue his passion for chimney sweeping. Drawing from his experience in the hospitality industry, Steven combined the friendly and welcoming approach of a traditional pub with the professionalism and expertise of a modern chimney sweep. Since then, we have expanded our services to include chimney lining, cowl and pot fitting, and commercial services.

At CRG Chimney Sweeps, we offer a range of services designed to keep your chimney safe, efficient, and functioning properly. Our services include:

• Chimney Sweeping: Regular cleaning removes soot and helps prevent dangerous chimney fires. Cleaning also improves the efficiency of some appliances, saving you money on fuel.

• Chimney Lining: If your flue isn't sufficiently lined, smoke, tar, and acids will be absorbed by the chimney walls, leading to the mortar joints losing their stability, your exterior stonework becoming stained, and even dangerous fumes leaking into your home.

• Cowl and Pot Fitting: The correct chimney terminal is essential for your appliance/chimney to work safely and efficiently. There are many types designed for different purposes, but one of the most common faults is an incorrect terminal.

• Commercial Services: For each project, we establish relationships with partners who we know will help us create added value for your project.
