At Woodend Nurseries, we're a family-run garden centre located in the heart of Yorkshire, near the city of Leeds. Since 2004, we've been dedicated to growing and selling high-quality, healthy, and stunning plants at affordable prices. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service, offering our expertise and advice to ensure our customers get the most out of their outdoor spaces.
Our Story
We began our journey in 2002, when we purchased an acre of land in the Great Preston area. As keen gardeners, we decided to put the land to good use and build our own horticultural business that would serve the local community and support our family for generations to come. We gained qualifications in horticulture to back up our expertise and help us build a successful business. Two years later, we opened the doors of Woodend Nurseries on the same plot of land, and we've continued to expand and develop our business to provide a wide range of garden-related goods and services.
Our Services
We offer a vast range of plants and flowers, including pots and planters, bulbs and seeds, compost and topsoil, bird feed and feeders, logs, coal, and seasonal goods. Our friendly and knowledgeable team is dedicated to providing excellent advice and ensuring our customers are satisfied with every visit. We also offer trade discounts to parish councils, allotment associations, and In Bloom Groups, helping them create beautiful gardens and surroundings across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Meet the Team
Our team is comprised of horticulturally trained individuals with their own unique attributes. Meet Marie and Jonny, the owners, who are fully horticulturally trained with qualifications in RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) and City & Guilds. Jonny is responsible for the technical growing aspect of the nursery, while Marie is responsible for the designing aspect of the gardens and basket making, as well as the general day-to-day running of the business. Our team also includes Dani, Paul, Emma, and Rosie the nursery dog, who are all horticulturally trained and very friendly and helpful with our customers.
