Preserving the past, shaping the future

At Murray John Architects, we are passionate about preserving the rich historic fabric of our urban landscapes. Our team of experienced architects, led by Murray John RIBA, has a deep understanding of the importance of conservation and restoration. We believe that every structure, no matter how ordinary, holds value and deserves to be respected and preserved.

Our Philosophy

We approach each project with a careful study of the site's historical, technical, social, and financial characteristics. We do not have a "house" style, instead, we strive to discover something new or unique in each project. Our designs are informed by good construction practice, particularly the craft-led methods found in historical buildings. We believe in working collaboratively with clients, residents, and community groups to ensure that our designs meet their needs and aspirations.
