Anderson Architect is a dynamic architectural practice based in Portadown, established in 1985 by David Anderson. We offer a full range of professional design services to private home individuals or business owners, whether they are refurbishing, extending, or wishing to build a new property, large or small, in a traditional or contemporary style. Our team of experienced architects and support staff is dedicated to providing a personalized service that meets the unique needs of each client.

Our Principal, David Anderson, has extensive experience in various building types, including industrial units, light engineering workshops, day centres, call centres, churches, restaurants, petrol stations, supermarkets, shops, offices, pharmacies, waste transfer stations, individual houses, housing developments, extensions, alterations, conservation, restoration, and interiors. He has also worked on private indoor swimming pools and has expertise in reporting on building defects, energy conservation, fire prevention, and planning appeals.

We have a diverse team of architects, each with their own areas of expertise. Wayne Gibson, one of our most senior assistants, has been with the practice since February 1998 and has recently been made an Associate of the Practice. Erika Megyeriova joined us in January 2005 after graduating in Architecture from the Bratislava University in Slovakia. She is currently studying for a PhD in Working Environments through her University. Michael Murtagh, who joined us in July 2007, is proficient in Photoshop, Archicad, and AutoCad and is currently looking into studying part time for his BArch (Part II) through the Practice. Barbara McNally has been with the Practice since its inception over 21 years ago and is our Office Secretary and Accounts Manager.

At Anderson Architect, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a comprehensive service that includes building design, statutory approvals, specifications, tender documentation, contract administration, and inspections. We can also undertake conditional reports and feasibility studies in conjunction with quantity surveyors, structural and service engineers. Our experience spans both the private sector and public sector, including work with local housing associations and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. We are accredited with Investor In People and registered with Constructionline.
