Our History and Qualifications

Founded in 1981 by Mike and Pauline Sedgwick, we have been at the forefront of good arboricultural practice in the north of Scotland for over four decades. Our team members are fully NPTC qualified, trained in emergency life support, and are covered by 5,000,000 public liability insurance. As a small family-run business, we ensure that all work is closely overseen, and good customer care is always a priority.

• Tree Felling and Extraction: Our team uses rigging gear to successfully lower awkward trees without causing damage to properties below or adjacent to the tree.
• Crown Reduction: Sympathetic and skillful pruning to retain the natural form of the tree.
• Crown Thinning and Cleaning: Reducing the density of the canopy to improve the natural shape of the tree.
• Hedge Cutting: Trimming and shaping hedges and shrubs, including yearly maintenance for domestic and commercial clients.
• Stump Grinding: Our tracked stump grinder can get into gardens and through narrow gates to grind out tree stumps.
• Fruit Tree Pruning: Pruning of fruit trees, including apples, pears, and plums.
• Storm Damage: Experienced in the safe removal of dangerous and unstable trees in emergency situations.
• Commercial Work: Providing tree works for local authorities and businesses across Elgin and beyond.
• Wood Chipping: Our range of wood-chippers allows us to get into gardens, along pathways, and slopes, cutting down on labour costs.
• Timber Extraction: Utilizing tracked machinery to remove timber from difficult to access areas.
