About Our Story
The story of Kawa Construction began when our founder, upon leaving school, made the decision to enter the building industry as an apprentice bricklayer. After completing his apprenticeship with a respected builder, he worked with the same company until 2012, when he decided to fulfill a burning desire to travel. During his travels, he continued to work within the commercial sector, learning new skills and techniques. After returning home, he entered back into work life, but soon decided to go it alone and start his own construction company. He came up with the name Kawa Construction, inspired by the Maori traditions he learned about during his travels.
