A History of Excellence

Our journey began under the name Yorkshire Fibreglass, where we honed our craft on prestigious projects, including the iconic Royal Albert Hall. We expanded our expertise to serve the needs of major organisations like P&O Cruises and government departments across the nation, seamlessly managing projects with demanding timelines. As we matured, YF Furniture carved a niche in the office seating sector, securing a long-term contract with the Northern Irish Government. This period saw us furnishing all Morrisons stores across the UK, and subsequently, we managed the complete furniture refits for all Safeway stores following their acquisition by Morrisons.

The YF Furniture Team

Adam Birkett, Joint Managing Director, joined YF Furniture in 2001, bringing an eager willingness to learn and a dedication to customer service. Under the mentorship of Mike Scott, he rapidly gained a deep understanding of the industry and the company's values. His contributions were instrumental in securing the high-profile contract with Wm Morrison Supermarkets. Adam's success saw him progress through the ranks, becoming Sales Director in 2012 and later Joint Managing Director alongside his wife Carly in 2017.

Carly Birkett, Joint Managing Director, has been a part of YF Furniture since her earliest years, learning the foundations of the business from her parents, Mike and Elaine. Joining the company formally in 2002, she has taken on diverse roles, honing her skills in sales, accounts, and finance. She quickly became an invaluable asset, acting as Mike's trusted right-hand woman. Through her dedication and insight, Carly evolved into the Financial Director and ultimately, alongside Adam, assumed the role of Joint Managing Director, carrying on the legacy of YF Furniture as a family-owned and operated enterprise thriving on personalized service and dedication to quality.
