Business Details
We have been operating as a family-run chimney sweeping and stove installation business since Clive Scott began his trade in 1984. Our headquarters in Gravesend, Kent, allows us to serve customers across Kent and South East London with consistent reliability. We draw on decades of handson experience to apply both traditional techniques and the latest hightech equipment for every sweep. Our specialised skills include cleaning open fires, inglenooks, Agas, Rayburns, wood and multifuel stoves, gas and oil boiler flues, as well as straw and woodpellet burners. We solve problems such as blockages, poor draft and inefficient fuel use by conducting thorough inspections before any work begins. All of our operatives are fully trained, adhere to a recognised code of practice and carry a copy of our public liability insurance at all times.
We commit to a friendly, fast and efficient service, aiming to leave each customer with a cleaner, safer chimney and peace of mind. Customer satisfaction is evidenced by the high proportion of work that comes from recommendations and repeat clients who trust our standards. We provide clear advice on sweeping frequency, fuel selection and the use of cowls to optimise performance and reduce carbon footprint. During every visit we use dust sheets and an industrial HEPAfilter vacuum to contain soot, ensuring a clean work environment. Our ongoing commitment to safety, professionalism and transparent communication means we stand ready to help whenever you need chimney or stove assistance.

Services
Chimney Sweeping
Our chimney sweeping service cleans all types of domestic flues, from open fires and inglenooks to woodburning stoves and boiler systems. We use the latest hightech rotary brushes and HEPAfiltered vacuums to remove soot, blockages and creosote safely. Homeowners across Kent and South London gain safer ventilation, improved heating efficiency and lower fuel costs after each sweep.
Stove Installation
Our stove installation service fits woodburning and multifuel appliances to the highest safety standards. We work with Luke Scott Stoves to supply and fit a variety of models, ensuring correct flue connection and room ventilation. Customers receive a clean, efficient heat source that reduces fuel usage and can be complemented with our cowl fitting service for optimal performance.
Cowls
Our cowl fitting service supplies and installs a full range of chimney terminals to suit any flue. Options include basic bird guards, pot hanging rain caps and antidowndraft cowls that stop downdrafts and water ingress. By preventing blockages and weather damage, these cowls improve chimney draw, increase safety and help maintain efficient heating.
