Greenshutters Garden Centre

Established over 70 years ago, Greenshutters Nurseries & Garden Centre has grown from a small family-run operation into one of Somerset's most respected horticultural destinations. Our expertise spans three generations of the Eavis family, who have dedicated themselves to cultivating high-quality plants and providing exceptional customer service. We specialise in a comprehensive range of garden plants, including rare and unusual species, alongside our renowned collection of hedging plants, which is among the largest in the South West. Our knowledgeable team, led by owner Roger Eavis, combines academic expertise in plant physiology with hands-on experience to offer tailored advice and practical assistance. We maintain two dedicated growing sites, including a 14-acre facility for our online hedging business, ensuring year-round availability of mature plants.

Our commitment to quality is reflected in our carefully curated product selection, from specimen trees and Japanese maples to bedding plants and garden accessories. The restored wooden greenhouse and scenic benches create a welcoming environment for customers to explore our extensive plant collections. As an independently owned business, we prioritise sustainable growing practices and maintain strict quality control across all our operations. Our nationwide delivery service extends our reach beyond Somerset, while our physical location in Fivehead remains a destination garden centre for local and visiting customers alike. This enduring dedication to horticultural excellence and customer satisfaction continues to make Greenshutters a trusted name in the gardening world.
